There are hundreds of sports in the world, more so than most people realize. I have only been exposed to a small fraction of these sports over the years, but I just love learning about them. Before I get rambling about my love of the game, you probably want to know who I am. My name is Samantha Renaldi – yes, I'm a girl. As shocking as it may be for a female to run a blog like this, the fact is that I do, I have, I am…etc.
My father went to college on a baseball scholarship, and he coached football after I was born. He was the one that really got me into sports, mainly because I think he secretly wanted me to be a boy. He always used to tell me, and I quote, "What are you going to do if you meet the love of your life, and don't have anything to talk to him about because you don't know sports? Huh? What will you do then, Sammy?" Dad's logic may have been a little flawed, but it made me want to learn more about sports in general. I have him to thank for the creation of this blog.
In addition to the boost from my father, I got a ton of sports education from the love of my life, the man I now know as my husband. You know, the one I supposedly wasn't going to be able to talk to. (Thanks dad) He loves tennis, bowling, soccer, and a variety of other sports that I never got to learn much about as a child. His teachings add to the lessons I learned from my father, and together they make me the sports enthusiast I am today.
Thanks for checking out this little blurb about me. I'll try to reveal more about myself in the posts I make around the blog. Guess you'll just have to stick around to learn more. Oh darn. :)
